Jon came to Critical straight from university, having studied Human Geography at Leeds. And after spending three years learning assorted methodologies for studying human activity, market research basically chose Jon as a career! He remains passionate about its value and sits on the committee of the Business Intelligence Group, a market research industry body. Having started out working exclusively on field and tab CATI projects he now splits his time equally between CATI and online. His clients include Jigsaw Research, the Direct Line Group, the FA and Chelsea Football Club. The latter two were particularly interesting because Jon is also something of a football fanatic. Consequently he was proud to be involved with research aimed at helping plan the future of English football coaching. At home, when not sitting down with the family to watch Peppa Pig he can be found in the gym or out swimming or running. He cooks delicious butternut squash ravioli and his best travelling experience was an expedition around Chile. He dislikes dangerous drivers, tequila and the feel of a sponge and in another life he would be scoring the goal that brought the Champions League trophy to Bolton Wanderers. And best of all – Jon was the Wide Awake Club’s Bonk and Boob champion of champions!
